Hello everyone. New in here and still waiting take delivery for my Truck. Meanwhile I'm doing some research for the camper shell. I lives in NorCal, anyone know what's the average price for the camper shell for the short bed? I have A.R.E. V series on top of my list. anyone know how much it will cost? Any good suggestion for local dealer?

    Thanks

Leisure West in Santa Cruz has been decent. My family has bought 5 or 6 shells from them over the years. Price is average. They normally sell Leer and SnugTop. I had a price for leer XR for 1900.

In San Jose there is a place called Stormin Norman that sells A.R.E. My company gets lots of caps and covers from them. Their price seems high, but we have never had a problem with them.

Honestly, ask anyone, shells are expensive, haven't really heard of anyone getting an amazing deal.

I also used Storm'n Normans when I bought my A.R.E Tonneau cover and just that was $1200.00. There's another shop in San Jose called Campways and they sell Snugtop, Leer and maybe another brand or two. Both good shops and both in San Jose. I think depending on what model you get and options, you probably expect to pay somewhere between 1500 to 2200.

Custom Truck in Redwood City has gotten pretty good reviews as well.
It's worth posting this question as well to the Northern California Regional Discussion. The guys there know their stuff
