I did read it but 3 of the dealers I have been talking to have told me the invoice price is different, 1 in Missouri and 2 in Kansas. One of them gave me the following. "On the 2017 Tacoma SR5 double cab, 4x4 the MSRP is $34,803.00 and the invoice is $32,837.00"

I actually purchase engineered equipment for a living. Negotiate technical and commercial contracts can be a pain in the ass but these dealers are something else. I also purchase some fleet vehicles for the company (sadly not GMC not Toyota) I can throw my weight around and get the prices I want when negotiating for the company. Sometimes they accidentally identify me as a retail type client but once I sort them out the price plummets. I never did record the difference when this happens but wish I had.

NoDak thanks for pulling this pricing list together!

This price above look about rights. The invoice price on the first page of this post does not include TDA, which dealership add to get their invoice price. TDA (or TMF/TAF) is the advertisement fee that the dealership pays to Toyota to run marketing ads in their region. It is usually between 1%-2% of the base invoice price of the model Tacoma you want.

Most dealerships will not discount this fee.

Thanks for the tip. I didn't know about the advertising fee. Would you say the "dealership fee" below is the advertising fee?

Do you guys think this is a good deal? I thought it was since they started from base invoice price.

    Tacoma SR5 - 7540
    Base: $30,336.00
    Tow Package: $640
    Dealership fee: $599
    DPH: $940.00

    Truck Total: $32,515.00
    Sales Tax: 8.975%

    Hi guys,
    Any financial wizards out there?
Looking to buy 2017 Tacoma Off road, 4 door, long bed, premium / tech package with JBL, tow package, predator steps, rubber mats, and chrome exhaust tip.
What is a good deal before tax, destination, and pic. Fees?
    I'm getting quotes of 39-40k.
    Thank you!
    Bakersfield, CA.

Are all the new Tacoma's that are ordered with the all weather floor liners coming with the new style that looks similar to weather tech ?

seems like DHP is $960 from 940 now too.

Has anyone notice invoice pricing change too? I got a invoice quote from a dealer and some of the items like paint film, Exhaust Tip and bed mat have increased?

IMHO I don't see that it matters. Out The Door price is what I negotiate. Avoids surprises.

In buying my truck I gave a bunch of dealers the opportunity to quote their best offer on ordering a specific configuration. Some tried to bullshit me, a couple played ball. I certainly used @NoDak's great info in seeing how those quotes stood in relation to invoice, but there was no reason to discuss invoice with the dealers. How they want to stack the deal to get to OTD pricing doesn't matter to me (barring tax discount for trade value but that's usually negligible or moot for me).

Anyway, apart from your sales tax sucking hard, it seems to be a decent deal albeit others who know more about your specific area and market conditions may be better able to advise.

There was articles starting January 1 2017 all models in Toyota lineup would see increase , some up to 3% to cover manufacturing cost increase. Found it during quick google search. So if Tacomas are only seeing $200 markup with minor increases on options that is not bad .
