I like the fact the 22 nosler is correctly twisted. Why most manufacturers continue to use a slow twist in the 22/250 makes no sense. I just don't know how much I would use it. I currently use a .221 fireball for coyotes as almost all my shots are under 300 yards. The 280AI would be great but I already have one. I already have several 708s so that wouldn't work either.

I'very got awhile to figure it out, but a 25-06 or 257WBY would make it easier.

The .221 Fireball is a GREAT cartridge! We've tested the the 22 Nosler in both the 1:8 and 1:12 twist. It shot phenomenal in both twist rates. My 22 Nosler is using a 1:12 twist, as I'm only planning on shooting 50-55gn bullets. Any other weights the 1:8 is more ideal, especially the new 70gn RDF and 77CC.
Yeah I don't now why we don't utilize the .25 cal cartridges. The 280AI is an outstanding round.

Do yall do any one off customs? I'd pay for the 6.5X57 reamer if I could get that. I've been looking for a decent one for years but everything I've found has been at a premium.

We don't do any one off custom orders. We make a "sweet" 7x57.

Yeah. That's where I'm leaning now of the current offerings. Not that I need another 7mm, but it is a great classic round.

    nothing cool
Picked up a new gun belt. It's my first and only one besides just a leather belt. Seems to work pretty well so far.

I'm actually building an 7x57 Custom right now with the extra fancy walnut stock haha. I think it's hard to beat any of the 7mm's out there. 7mm is such a great all around bullet.

Yeah. It's hard to beat the versatility of a 7mm. I've sold most of mine and now only have two 7-08s, a 7SAUM, and a 280AI. Have I mentioned how great your job must be?☺

And it looks like you've already flipped your cheek piece around too. I don't know why Ruger isn't sending them out like that. Everyone I've talked to has done the same thing also.

What grain in that 22-250? If it's a heavier bullet, that could explain the problem as these slow twisters generally prefer lighter bullets. We used to hunt mule deer with 50 grains until they upped the legal caliber to .24 or larger. I still use mine for coyotes occasionally, as it sucks to have a rifle that you can't use.

It is sort of humorously mesmerizing. Hey, you're only about 2 1/2 hours from me. Where do you go shooting?

up in the mountains at our property mostly, try not to go to the range down here unless its a dire need to do load work up or shoot a gun before buying it. i here there are some good places up near you that i might just have to check out!

No doubt! Never fails, every year when I go out to sight in my rifles before the season opens, it's always blowing about 55 mph. It gets really challenging trying to decide where to go do that. Early, early morning is the best time. If the puddle jumpers are flying around, then it's a good day for sighting in.

Our short actions mag boxes measure out to 2.878". Which would be for a 243 win.
I want to build a nice 7mm-08. I have a bunch of brass and boxes of ammo for it just no gun ha. It's a pretty sweet job, not trying to brag ;)
