I would be impressed if you busted your suspension out there. A few stockers went through it with different aged trucks, you should be more than good.

IMHO I would say sliders and skids before bumper and winch, especially if you already got that lift and decent tires.

 

What are some good brands of skids and sliders and what exactly is the purpose (sorry I'm young and dumb... But that's why I'm here to learn )

 

I didn't search much, but relentless fab, Demello, and All-pro make some good ones. I would recommend Mobtown, but I don't think they make anything yet for the first gens.

Do yourself a favor and don't buy armor from all poo. Sure it looks pretty but I have seen first hand how easily their skids bend. And when confronted about it their response was "none of out armor is bulletproof". I'm sorry, but I would rather invest in to someone that has a bit better outlook towards their own product. I'm sure their stuff does just fine on sand, but we don't wheel on sand out here.

I would say mobtown cus local or pelfrey, SOS concepts, demello, etc there are lots of good companies it just depends on what you wanna pay and how hard you wheel.
they protect your undercarriage from rocks and other road hazards and help you slide off instead of getting hung up on stuff while wheeling.

 

Another good company for armor, though less well-known, is BAMF (Bay Area Metal Fab). I have a pair of their LCA skids and those things are stout! They also make other skids.
