Hey I'm new on here and with offroading my truck...but have quickly gotten into doing mods and exploring some trails around San Diego. The only problem is all my buddies moved away to college and I stayed local. You guys on here seem pretty cool and I hear a lot of talk about going up to corral canyon and the pine valley trails (I live in alpine only twenty minutes or so away), how would I go about getting in on one of these trips?? I have a prerunner (insurance is to expensive on 4x4) and REALLY want to start going up to Pine valley or corral canyon but not going to go alone. Is it cool if i come along with some of you next time you go?? I am a beginner but am eager to learn. thanks.

First of all...welcome to the So Cal section of TW (and the bestest :D)

Second NO you can't join us! Unless, you pass a few test.

hahahahaha j/k dude. Of course you can cone along on our meets. It's a free country (and that's why illegals wanna cross over! Isn't that right Doug and Manny?) and the more the merrier.

Were having a So Cal meet in a few weeks at Santee lakes. You're welcome to come, hang out, shoot the shiznitz, and meet the members if you like. There's a thread so check it out. Again welcome to the cult lol

Hi Michael & welcome to TW. Absolutely its ok to join us on our runs, just start following the threads in the SoCal Region(this one) & I'm sure someone will start a thread asking if anyone wants to head out !! The thread (if done properly) will have details as to date/time/place & usually a trail difficulty level,i.e.; 4X only ,prerunner friendly etc; We usually try to keep it so most everyone can go but I will say that almost all our runs require at least locking rear diff. But as mentioned alot of runs are for all levels of experience & difficulty, hope this helps ya Bro'..........

Thank you that does help. I have the locking rear diff, haven't had a chance to really use it but hopefully I'll get one soon. I will definitely keep my eye out for threads on trips for beginners or prerunner friendly trails around socal. I didnt know that there was specific regions on the forum till tonight but thats going to help a lot. thanks again

ha cool good luck. I try to stay away from that place, lose to much money :eek:. I Live right by it though. instead of going left off the freeway to viejas you go right a little ways. you ever go up viejas grade to descanso?? cool dirt road up over the mountain. and i figured the last two were probably 4x4 only. first one looked do-able though
