Just checked Headstrong website.
$175 for 2.5" - 2.75" lift and better ride, cant beat a deal like that.

Decision made!

TW to the rescue, Thanks, but then if it wasn't for TW I would have just ordered a set of spacers for the front, blocks for the rear and called it a day.

Headstrong is top notch so far. Placed an ordere Yesterday mid day and it was shipped in the evening already!

And their prices can't be beat by most of the competition...

 

Will I need to get extended brake lines with this setup?

 

Recommended if you lift it and plan on wheeling.

Need, maybe. Only for the rear though. Only times you need to extend the front is if you have a larger than stock spindle or long travel. Although getting steel braided all around is a good idea.

 

Do yourself a favor and don't use the braided steel brake lines. That might be awesome for race cars but it turned into a total nightmare on the truck.....

I busted one on the trail, one on the street and the third one was about to rip when I finally took those off....

From the looks, it seemed that they didn't like the big amount of travel....

 

I lifted just over 2" in the rear yesterday, should I be OK or get extended lines.
Didn't seem to be any binding but that was on jack stands in the garage not out in the middle of nowhere.

 

When I lifted the truck I blew a front brake line the day I finished the lift while articulating the suspension as much as I could. Haven't had issues since I got 3" extended steel braided. Haven't done the rear yet, forgot, it's still sitting in the truck

 

That's shitty. Haven't had any issues with mine, but I don't have 6" of lift either.

 

Yeah, didn't use the cheap ones either. Those were Stoptechs and they don't want to hear about it.....

The 6" lift is a little bit different, not sure if that had anything to do with it: They actually extend the solid brake lines, so you can keep using factory length ones.

 

Time to do an articulation test and measure how much you'll need. Take that to capitol bearing in RR and have them make you some some brake lines. I have extra sets of stock lines for them to check that they are the correct fittings.

 

Ran my budget and won't be able to get my brake upgrades on order until next check. Kinda bummed.

 

What's the damage on a custom set of brake lines?

I got new rubber lines since I never had issues with those. And so far, those keep me going!
