I've gone down a long, dark path with the F150. I've discovered the wild world of engine tuning and all I have to say is, wow... I had a couple tunes from a reputable tuner, been playing around with them, having them tweak to my liking, etc. but still had some things I felt could be improved. I just got another new tune to try and I'm like a kid on Christmas morning just waiting to see what I got. I have it loaded on the truck and am just waiting for lunch time to try it out!

After. That was the reason I had no carpet in it and needed to replace it anyways. Then that got me to thinking and thinking got me into spending. Etc etc etc

It's time consuming but easy to do. I spent a few hours a night then put it back together so I could drive it the next day so I spent a lot of time taking it apart and putting it back together. All in all I did what I did in a weekend but like I said I wasted a lot of time

True. If your only doing speaker replacement you need to make sure that what you are getting some with a VERY high sensitivity rating!
Mr Marv has an awesome no sub stereo package that he sells, front and rear speakers with an amp.

Don't buy it off of Amazon. They guys at RAAMmat are awesome to deal with and they will discount it for you if you tell them that you are a member here @ TW. They have 2 different packages, I bought the big one. It was plenty to do the entire floor and back wall. I'm hoping I still have enough to do all the doors

Honestly it's not bad. I believe it was under $200 for package #2

Not as bad as you'd think. Once you buy the tuner, the tune files are relatively inexpensive and, once you find one you like, you don't have to do any further unless you're really trying to run your truck to the limit (which I most certainly am not).

 

That'll be a perfect time to install a power sliding rear window mod too...

Going to place my order for the RAAMmat stuff later today, package 1, when things "calm" down a bit more at work.

 

I ran into the same thing with my old Maxima. Put Boston Acoustics speakers in it, and the sound quality was worse than stock because the headunit couldn't power them as well. With a headunit and amp, it worked out in the end.

That stinks. I know my discount was bigger but this good stuff and really not all that expensive. I think package #1 should be enough for your doors and rear wall

Head unit is not needed but most likely an amp is to power any really good speakers

 

Cool. Was planning on buying it without the discount anyway, so no biggie. I'll take the $5 off!

Hopefully it'll be super easy to do... taking stuff apart freaks me out.
