Some stuff. Not a lot, just some.
    Denso 234-9001 = Front
    Denso 234-4189 = Rear

I highly recommend avoiding anything but Denso. Denso is the OE for Toyota's. Avoid universals also.

You can can get them at either if these places

Yep, got mine at rockauto.com, and there farely easy to install to. And for the rear O2, there are 2 different ones, make sure to get the one that is longer in length with the connector.

I have replaced my rear O2 sensor twice, once because it failed, the second time because it was incorrectly reinstalled during a muffler replacement.

I bought this one the second time.

    http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000C91HX8/ref=oss_product

The first one failed at 65k or so, giving me an engine light
I replaced the original one with that same walker aftermarket unit I bought locally for $85

I had the muffler replaced back in December, the parts store was out of the gaskets and said they would send one up the next day. The guy at the shop didnt wait for the new gasket, put it on with the old one, cracked both ears and sent me on my way. The next day I got a rear O2 sensor code. :(

I bought the new sensor, got under my truck, saw the mess, took me a while to remove the rotten gasket off of the flange, installed the new one and things are all back to normal.

Yes it can improve mpgs. And If they havent been changed I would def. do so! They could be all fould up and not working correctly, and still not through a CEL.

But Ive heard you should replace both at the same time bc one will read differently then the other.

yah youre probably right there, my front one went on me, now im dealing with the CEL being on because of the rear one. I ordered a URD rear o2 sensor simulator tonight to fix that little problem. The simulators are a plug and play setup now,no more splicing.

I need to replace my rear sensor but for the life of me cant figure out how to get the old one off. Do i need to drop the muffler to get it out or what? There is just no why that I can see other than that to get the nuts off

Get the nuts off, and then fallow the wires up to the connector. And there is a little tab on the top that you need to push in on and then wiggle it out. It took some muscle to get mine off. What year/engine do you have?
Oh and the connector will/should be under your passenger seat.

    1st gen ? 3.4L? Manual? (02 sensort 2?)
    http://www.lieblweb.com/o2replacement.html

I had to open up the shifter boot (manual) to get in there to unplug it - if I can remember correctly, been many years since I did it.

I wish it was that easy. The sensor it self has a heat shield (im guessing) on it. This shield is on the side thats most accessible. cant get any tool or can of pb blaster for that matter to work on it. Im seriously thinking im gonna have to drop the exhaust just to change it out.
