Are you going to wait until the job is done to start on the beer? A girlfriend once bought me a case of beer for helping her rebuild her cylinder head. She was unhappy that consumption started while the engine was still being assembled. We didn't have a valve spring compressor so I used one of those forks for wedging tie rods ends apart and the camshaft for a fulcrum. Everyone took cover in case a spring got loose. We were putting the head together on the kitchen table. Ah the good old days.

 

I'm not going to make promises this early in the game

 

Is anyone planning a trail (day) trip soon?........next couple of weeks?

Ha that place looks like an abandoned junk yard. I drive past it on the way home from work every day.

 

I know right, my saw it in town last week and told me about it. Just so happens check craigslist today and found it.

Have a lot of 1-3ft long pieces of pipe and I can round up sone sheet metal as well @Nimitz

 

I wanted to take a few pics of the process, but we ended up hitting it hard and getting it done quick instead. 5.5 hours to do ucas, dakars, BP-51s, sway bar delete.
