    Anyone have Cooper maxx 255/80/17s with the mud flaps on. I have Cooper ST 255/85/16s with the flaps on but the Maxx are a bit shorter and wider. Also 3" lift.

    Hey guys hope you can help me out. I have a 2016 DCLB TRD offroad arriving in a week. I purchased a 2016 OME 2 inch lift in the medium load. I want to get the 255/80/17 Cooper STT MAXX's with method NV wheels. Prior to the lift can they fit? After the lift should I have any issues?

    Looks like the you went with 275 instead of 255, did you try the 255s?

    I didn't try no, was to nervous that they wouldn't fit. I did go with 275.

    Ok made me nervous when I saw that you now had 275s, thought you tried and had issues.

    @OZ-T

    Yes.

    I am running stock mudflaps with 255/85/R16 Toyo MT.

    I had to do a lot of modifications to make them fit without rubbing.

    What rims are you using? From what I have been seeing on here most people fit either 255/85r16 or 255/80r17 with stock rims, or rims with near stock BS, with little to know modification.

    So here is the deal. Not all 255/85/R16 tires are identical in dimensions. People who say that they fit without mods or minimal mods, aren't telling the whole truth, or are misinformed.

    I bought the Toyo MTS, and they are the tallest in their class. And I had to do every mod in the book to fit them without rubbing. I found out the hard way.

    I moved to 4Runner limited wheels with 4.5 BS to get off the UCA / LCA / Frame rub pain.

    But for OZ's question, yes, you can fit the stock mud flaps if you cut, trim, modify, etc. It can be done.

    Yeah I'm willing to trim and form plastic and bend a pinch weld if need be, but I don't want to chop my cab mount or lose my mud flaps.

    With all the salt around here in the winter I need to keep rock chips to a minimum.

    Yah front flaps are essential IMO. Too much damage without them. :thumbsup:

    I am looking at 255/75/17 instead of the 255/80/17 ST Maxx and trying to keep my mud flaps w/o cutting. Do you guys think this is possible? DCLB with 17" stock wheels with 2.75" lift and LR UCA's.
