I took the screws out the other day and pulled tray out part way like you were saying since the wire only allows it to come out so far. I then saw that plastic clear cover over the hole which has a tab on it. So is that just the cover or the bulb holder to? Also is that the same bulb that lights up the actual cigarette lighter? And it's a #74 right? I have an 04 Tacoma. See how the cigarette lighter is orange? Will that one bulb take care of both?

The clear cover does not come off. The bulb holder just pulls out of the back. #74 if I recall.

The lighter bulb is mounted directly on the side of the lighter and is a dealer only item since it looks to be soldered into the holder.

I deleted my lighter since I already had two of the same ports on the bottom. Only they are not the same. The lighter doesn't seem to fit or activate in the lower two ports.

I just took the whole front face off and it allowed me access to the back of the ashtray bulb. I didn't even have to take those two screws out from above the ashtray. The stock bulb was burned out anyways. Luckily I have a blue #74 LED to replace it with

Yep. I've had my console off so many times doing switches and bulbs and stereo that I can tear all the way to the instrument cluster in my sleep :)

Has anybody have a problem with the Neo wedge 4mm LED's for the 01-04 HVAC area. Mine keep popping out. Should I go up to Neo wedge 5mm for a tighter fit? Needless to say I ordered 4 more of the 4mm ones and that way I'll have some extras. Plus I think the contact must be bad on one of them. Since I think I made it pop out when I slammed the HVAC area cause the light would go on & off and when I hit it, it would come back on. So I must've knocked it out of it's place. Cause it doesn't come on at all now.

Needless to say I took the HVAC unit apart & there was the LED sitting in the bottom of the white plastic part once I split the front from the back! Lol! And it all started w/ me just wanting to change the ashtray bulb! @alphabravo I just unplugged the back of the light inside the lighter but the power still goes to the lighter just not the orange light.

I bought an illumination light ring out of an 01 4Runner that fits around my ignition. I'm just wondering if anybody know what the LED bulb # is that replaces the green condom light that lights up the ignition ring? I have all blue interior LED's and want to order a blue led for the illumination ring. Otherwise I'm just going to pull the green condom off and go with a pure white bulb. I also bought a clock delete bezel so I won't have anymore orange!!!

Anybody else try a UV set up? There was only one pic posted. I've got all white leds right now but I've got a loose contact and I wanted to switch to dimmable...so, might as well buy a whole set..

I can dim my LEDs with the dimmer knob, at a certain point they turn off sooner than the incandescent but still get low

I'd like to replace every bulb in the cluster with LED if I'm going in there. I think my low gas bulb is out. Anyone know how many bulbs are in the cluster and what size I need? So far I've seen I need 4 194. I'm gonna get 3 74 for the A/C and the shifter. What else?
