I did and it would play with no sound and only track #1. This is why I asked, maybe I burned it wrong? I never had a car that plays mp3 cd's so I never bother to try and burn one haha

Probably burned it wrong. When I first burned a cd, it did the same thing in my 05 Tacoma cd player. I used windows xp to make a copy the 1st time.It didn't work.

The next one I used media player & the cd worked. Since finding that media player works, I have burned about 10 cds all successful. Also make sure you are using a CD-R+/- or CD-RW+/- disk & not a DVD.

Why not burn it in the .WAV format to be sure it will play correctly?

I can play regular burned cd's just not mp3 aka data cd's where you have over the 20 song limit in on cd. I'll try it again today.

because that is the difference between 180 songs and 18 songs.

I don't think that Toyota offered mp3 capability until the 2009 came out. They normally have a small logo that says mp3.

So is it the end of the result on a 08 TAcoma will not play MP3?
I do a search before try to find any way can hack into the OEM system than can play MP3 though the mp3 player. I know chrysler have one, but I am not sure about Tacoma. Anyone can point me a direction where I can find the adaptor? becasue I do not wantto change the OEM stero

there are some adaptors that hook up on the aux port of the stock headunit, you can even control the ipod through the steering wheel controls (if you have them) go to

    www.crutchfield.com

    hope that helps

You cannot play mp3 discs. You can purchase an adapter that will allow you to hook up any audio device. This could be a walkman or a mp3 player.

 05 to 08 Tacoma's dont have an AUX port. So how do you hook up the ipod and have steering controls if you dont have an AUX port on the 6 disc JBL system?

there are adapters that you plug in the back. Search on here for aux input and you'll find a few results.

yeah there isn't a aux input, but if you want to use an ipod, I believe you can buy an adapter that plugs into the 12v input.
