Used one of those for 16 years for getting around the plant where I worked. No roof and the rear facing seats wee deleted in favor of a box. Pretty reliable if you take care of them, but go to hell in a hurry if you start ignoring them

2000 Tundra V6,one of the very first to be built .Just hit 200k,still runs very,very well.No smoke,only thing I have ever had to replace besides wear items was a starter.Bought the Tacoma to replace it but just cannot bring myself to let it go.It will probably run forever but the bed floor has rusted away,bed will probably fall off soon!I try to love my Tacoma but it is hard to,between the trans,,buzzy vibration and wind noise it just irritates me to drive it.Just hit 20k in it but about once a month I just have to go back to old faithful to regain my love for Toyota.

 

And yes I have tried to have my Tacoma issues addressed by several dealers,no luck.

 

I rebuild them for fun and then flip them. This one is the most extensive one I've done.
