I haven't looked underneath, but I think the only truck damage was some paint chipped off the bumper. The FabFour bumper is a stout sumbitch. Unfortunately my back isn't quite as strong and is starting to throb a bit, went to the VA ER after work and got something to help with that. Keep your fingers crossed it doesn't get any worse. :fingerscrossed: I've only had this job a week, now is not the time to call out!

Trying to figure out if this is looking like the start of a problem. The tie rod boot has always looked darker to me for as long as I can remember, but I have never really noticed the front LCA section "wet" from anything. is this something to be concerned about? Inner tie rod/ outer tie rod? and what things should I be thinking about?

Also saw this odd gem in Olympia area. Never seen one before: Subaru "BRAT" (4WD though haha)

A friend had a Brat back in the early '80's. Actually, it belonged to his grandfather and he drove it while going to college. We talked him into gong wheeling one night. After a whole lot of beer, he followed me into a big mud hole. I was in a Jeep CJ with 40"'s.....Not a problem. The Brat was "stock". Problem.....Once he was adequately stuck, out came the snatch strap.....I let Mike hook up his end. I gave it an easy pull and nothing....So I gave it a hard yank. Zero resistance.....and a pair of Subaru Brat front tow hooks came out of the mud hole.....Brat still stuck. Mike started crying. He said his grampa was gonna kill him!

We pulled it out backwards, went on home...called it a night. Never saw Mike driving the Brat again. We drank more beer after that. End of story.

Seals look like they are getting worn in your rack n pinion. Not to big of a deal now but steering will eventually get worse and then you will just need to replace the rack.

I literally heard your voice say "this is something I'm not familiar with" lol. But c'mon man, you're not familiar with the steering rack? Easy stuff.

If it has to do with a 2nd gen Tacoma I can guarantee you Levi has messed with it and/or broken it before.

ok, I am debating weather or no to weld of bolt my sliders on. They are trail gear (the old style) so I would have to drill a bunch of holes. I really don't want to weld on b/c I don't want to have to cut them off if I want to take them off in the future (it was a pain in the ass last time). It would also save me money having to pay someone to weld them on. Do you guys think it will weaken my frame a lot to drill the holes and bolt them on?
