    I actually have one of those already. Lol. You used that on the crank pulley? How? Did you just have a helper hold it for you while you broke and reapplied torque?

    I'm going to be doing this job alone so just trying to find EASY ways to do it that can be done with two hands. Haha

    Just use a breaker bar wedged on the frame and the starter to break it loose. Chain wrench and your old belt to torque it down.

    Man tbh I was going to use the starter then a buddy of mine made me all paranoid by being like "better make sure you put the breaker bar on the right side or you're going to ruin your truck." So at that point I started looking for safer ways to do it and found this thread as a reference.

    That post shows u where he put the pulley holder. Put breaker bar in same spot on the passenger frame rail.

    I tried this and my breaker bar sheared apart. Maybe it was defective (Kobalt, Lowe's brand), but that fucker broke and scared the shit out of me. I had to pony up for a cordless Dewalt impact to get that SOB loose.

    My impact wouldn't touch it. Put the truck in 4th gear, wedged my 2 foot autozone breaker bar on the frame, cranked it twice and it broke loose.

    Well the time has come....getting the supercharger installed next week at the dealer. Have been reading all the post and have a few questions and concerns. Truck is a 2013, stock with no mods, with 89k. Will be installed with stock pulley and with the TRD flash and a scangauge. Will this be correct? Will the truck still be reliable? Any other gaskets I should check on to make sure they stock at dealer? Any other input would be helpful, thanks.

    Until you start installing additional power mods at all. Then your wallet will hate you. Then you can pop over to the actual Supercharger thread and read a couple thousand posts from those of us that were where you are a couple years back

    What's your dealer charging for installation? (I still plan to install myself, but I'm limping to the dealer for TRD flash install instead of rolling the dice with the BD/Magnuson combo.)

    He's a friend of mine somewhat, has done some work for me before. Doing some other stuff at same time (trans flush ect..) so hope I can walk out for a grand.... give to take.

    This is what I have done in the past. I've put an old towel between the bar and frame and wrapped it over the top of the bar to dampen it from going anywhere or maring the frame. Worked like a charm every time.

    I emailed gadget and asked him to let me know when the UCON for 09+ is available. He said they are in production and hopefully available soon. I think this will be the best (only?) solution. Keeping my fingers crossed.
