It's amazing how good you feel with a few extra inches!!! :taco: Not all today, but in the last week. The CV bearings, the extra 3", the Bilsteins, and the ProComp 285's were last week. The wash and pix were today. The ride is considerably better with the new shocks.

This is basically phase 1.0. It's all wired to an ArkPak with a 100ah AGM battery. The fuel comes from a 2gal fuel tank stored in the bed, and the exhaust will be routed out of a modified bed storage cubby to the outside of the truck.

I'm excited to get this dialed in next week or two, as I haven't seen this explicitly done yet.

Agreed 100%. And, regardless of what has been said around this forum in regards to him, he is a stand up guy and I don't think has done any one wrong. Just my 2 cents to the whole mess that went on, again.

Looks good man. A bit jelly to be honest because I think my fam is starting to need a bigger car, because of the two kids, but the wife ain't having the idea of a 4Runner... says they are too big. :frusty:

So much more room. I have a second kid coming in August and a totaled 2013. Considered a full size and a turd gen DCLB, but the Tacoma cab is too damn small.

    Love the Runner. Would recommend.

Agreed. Cab is definitely small and is really noticeable with two car seats back there. But no regrets getting the truck, at all! Guess I have to do some convincing then.

Decided to put my lightbar back on after taking it off due to the annoying highway speed whistle. Tackled the issue by making sure the front of the lightbar was even with the ground. Added some door trim on the top cooling fin and botton two cooling fin. As well as adding some electrical tape on the top and bottom of the lightbar where there was a channel near the lens. Extremely happy that there is no whistling. Tested all the way up to 90mph. Now she needs a wash and to order another wiring harness so I can start using the lightbar again!

Looks good, what brand did you use for the lifting block in the rear. Did you feel any difference in the ride with the blocks. I'm thinking the same instead of adding a leaf. I don't do any off road.

Try these. They will eliminate that whistle. We put a set on my nephews taco. They did the trick.

dont remember the brand but it is a higher quality machined block I got on ebay about 65 dollars. not a ton of difference in the ride. the whole truck is slightly stiffer but possibly due to the 5100's that are set at 2.5 on the front and the shocks that i took off were WAY past done 139000 miles on them so it was really mushy on the old shocks. it drives a lot better now

Cool. Did you get one with a rack on top? If so what kind of carrying capacity does it have?

    Put in my cheap dashcam...
For 25 bucks shipped, it was hard to pass up but I already see things which I'm going to look for when I replace it. Mainly, no wide angle lense which really sucks. Maybe I'll repurpose it eventually for a rear cam but the way I put it in is pretty simple to take out.

TL;DR: you get what you pay for ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I'll take one a a bit... getting the minis ready for school. They are going to have their minds blown no matter what. Children are easily impressed.

On another note, took my HVAC control unit out to try to figure out why the dials don't light up. Anyone have a link to where to get replacement bulbs for those? :anonymous:
