The storm was large here- about 7:30AM or so. Very dark, heavy rain and lightning on top of us.

 

Our heavy rain is coming Friday 2"-4"

grabbing a canoe probably. rain here means flooding! and he's no longer lifted sooooo he may need it haha

 

For those unaware- thats a huge amount for anywhere. But in SoCal, the soil does NOT absorb like here. Almost instant run-off. Also mountians are much, much closer to to ocean- creating more swift water. Its akin to Asheville area elevation being near Florence, SC area.

@Lord Helmet also read Sierras expected to get Another 8-12 FEET of snow on top of 20+ FEET already there. Big time!

I remember the el nino back in the early-mid 90's, Oceanside had lots of damage. Light rail was damaged. Huge areas of Camp Pendleton got flooded. It totally changed Red Beach training area.
