Got the Ray10s (16x8, matte gunmetal) mounted with some 265/75R16 KO2s...so sexy.

So far I've got a little mudflap rubbage on driver side front when turning left sharply, I suspect the Taco lean as the culprit. 3 of 4 KO2s balanced decent (under 3 oz total) the 4th took 19 oz and I'm currently at Discount Tire getting the tire replaced with a different one (hopefully).

After (with fake lift, ignore excess tire mounting lube)

The second picture is with the lift still holding the truck up, so it doesn't really sit like that. The last picture is how it sits without a lift.

Got out this morning for some posing pictures....

To echo what many here have said about the wheels; wow do they look great in person...somehow the pictures just can't capture the true aesthetic of them. Vin and SCS do amazing design work and the finish product is superb. I've had them on two days and already have 3 random compliments on the wheels specifically, not "nice truck bro" but "damn those wheels are nice man!". Cannot recommend them enough. That and Vin is stellar too, which always completes the experience nicely.

Yep, stock height/suspension at the moment.

I emailed Vin, seems like the best way to contact him. He'll let you know of availability and such.

    Define a lot...

It rubs every time I turn about halfway to lock either direction, whether on flat terrain or not. No rubbing when driving relatively straight, no matter terrain. The rubbing isn't so bad that it's going to rip off the mud flaps, just scrubs them (in reverse, it catches a little more notably). Essentially, some trimming of some protruding spots of the mud flap will solve 75% of it. the inside of the mud flaps rub too, which that part sits pretty flush with the inner fender so trimming might be a little more complex there.

Basically I'm driving it around for a week or so and then this weekend I'll look at all the sufficient scrub marked points on the flaps and begin trimming based on the visual evidence.

I will add that compared to some other local Tacomas I come across, I feel like the front of mine (at stock height) sags a little compared to others. I don't think most 2nd gen 4x4 owners rub with 265/75s and comparable wheel setups, and I didn't rub with 265/75s on stock wheels. Also factor in different tire/tread designs. The KO2s have an aggressive edge by the shoulders of the tire, which is what it looks like is rubbing the flaps in my case.

I feel the same way about my '08 sitting lower than other Tacomas. I've got about 90,xxx miles on my stock suspension so I'm not sure if that contributes to it or not. I've taken my mudflaps off all four corners so I wonder how much rubbing would there be then. Your truck looks awesome and I'm wanting to get some wheels for mine as well. Preferably SCS wheels!!! Been wanting them for years

Thanks man, I love the look and after contemplating many, many different wheels options...I'm still 100% glad I made the call I did with the Ray10s. The wheels are a fair price for how sweet they are and Vin offers some truly great shipping quotes, so maybe shoot him an email and just see where you stand on total price and go from there.

With no mudflaps, I'd argue you might not rub at all (with 265/75 16s).

BTW, DBTaco, here's where it rubs (drivers front mud flap). Directly below my two fingers you'll see some scuffs. So minimal.

do you think it would rub off roading at all without the flaps? I'm thinking about going to 265/75/16 on stock TRD OR 17

This might be a stupid quest but what do the front mud flaps do?

In general the 265/75s won't. With the added back spacing of the Stealth wheels they're hit/miss depending on the tire design. No rubbing off-road with my Firestone winter tires (265/75) on stock wheels, for example. My minimal rubbing didn't get worse or better when I took it through some slow speed off-roading but with decent flexing, indicative of normal trail ridding.

In theory, the front flaps keeps rocks and debris from hitting/caking the rocker pan under the doors. In reality, if you ever go off-road or over speed bumps, they're so low hanging they scrap often and some have issues with them breaking off and scratching up the truck. If you notice in some of my pictures, I've trimmed the front flaps ~ 6 inches shorter due to this. Plenty of people run no flaps and report the paint has held up decently against rock chips. Front and rear flaps also keep slinging rocks on the highway under *some* control, saving windshields.
