I took my cb out because it was mounted in my center console, which wasn't a great location without drilling a hole in the side of the console for the mic, and adding a speaker. Just running out of real estate.

Figured a hand held cb would be fine. It's not great, but it works.

I can have cell phone quality connection with only a $25 hand held ham with no need for anything else... Adding an antenna is optional.

I'd mount both units in a perfect world, but I'll wait for the next rig.

Hey! My center console is bad ass. My EAF points will go up 10 fold when I install my HAM radio this weekend with external speaker all nicely housed in my roof mount center console. And I will still have room for multiple s!!!!!!!!
