Just a thought, that bolt going thru the bottom of the coilover, does not look factory. If it's a run of the mill SAE grade 8 from the hardware store, it may be too small of a diameter. That in turn may be causing the noise you are hearing. Or not.

That bolt was replaced while doing the axle because the old one was rusty. Still the same noise before and after but it's a thought.

Ours should be the N type. I wouldn't compromise a radiator under pressure with the wrong size. Now just to figure out which pressure rate to go with. The S type was for older models like the supra that was rated for 21.3 psi (1.5 kg/cm2). The N type is offered at 18.5 psi (1.3 kg/cm2) and then there's one for I think 12 psi. Good info to keep in mind.

It's less Tacoma and more mod
Stock normal one is 0.9 BAR or 13.05PSI, that's what I have. I'd assume you're looking for higher pressure

That's what I figured. So now I'm set to get this radiator installed.

Which size spacer were you running? And how would you describe the difference between the feel of driving on road?

    improved toyota goodness.
just a hunch... that strut bolt on the bottom is not factory... on an older truck I made a mistake of replacing the strut bolt with a standard parts store grade 8 because it was cheaper at the time
it clunked pretty bad even though it was as tight as I felt would not twist it off with a 4 foot bar - it was only half a mm smaller than the stock one...

edit: oops was beat to it

Same. It's fun doing research on obscure things. Like the TRD header headache.
