I was on a trip recently, but had to fly out early and left my truck with friends who were to drive it back. They gave me keys to their '98 4Runner with a stick to drive while they were making their way back.

I grab the 4Runner, pick up my kid in school, he gets in and goes "Omg? What is this? I've never seen anything like this before!" lol

 

Totally! I'm over 6' tall so I don't fit very well in the 1st gen MR2 - but the 2nd gen... That's my wish.
Drove the FR-S again today & I'm hooked on that.

One of the reasons I love my Tacoma so much is because even the newer ones have interchangeable parts. The most notable example in newer trucks would be intermittent wipers. My biggest complaint about my 2010 was the lack of intermittent wipers, but I found out it could be installed, and my dad bought me the switch for Christmas and paid to have it installed.

The vent-window doors are from a 1994 Toyota EXTRA CAB pickup. I was shocked that the extra-cab doors fit a regular cab because I have a 2nd gen and it is well-known that regular cabs hold the distinction of having longer doors that won't fit the access cabs and double cabs.

This truck DID not originally have air-conditioning, but my uncle removed the factory A/C system from the same wrecked 1994 extra cab that donated its doors, and installed it in this truck himself with very little effort. Since the donor truck was a 1994, the system was factory R134a and my uncle could even charge it himself legally.

 

Those rims are one-of-a-kind. They are 1974 AMC Hornet wheels with Toyota center caps. Also, I have updated the info about the specs on the truck since you first read the post. Take a look!

Maybe a retro PreRunner TRD Pro. This one is 2WD. Actually technically it's 1-wheel drive, because it has an open rear. For the first time EVER, my uncle does not care that a truck he owns lacks posi because he lives in Myrtle Beach now and it never snows.

You should avoid making insurance claims when you don't need to claim things. Not unless one enjoys paying tons for insurance. Especially on a truck where it will keep happening.

 

Nice truck, I had a 1990 RC 5spd 4x4 for 14 years, love that 22re engine.
