We have a series of lift stations at work. 2 alternating pumps in each tank, 4 stations in the series. One valuable lesson we learned is to use cam lock connections. Nothing worse than standing on your head in a vault with 2 pipe wrenches trying to take apart a union.

Watching the evening news and the weather forecast shows the storms low pressure system will be directed right at Socal . There will be a very strong Atmospheric River and this forecast sounds worse than what was forecasted earlier . They're saying 60 plus mph winds from the south and heavy snow accumulation in the Mtns

Andy you better rethink the scouts trip up to Panamint city in Death Valley this weekend . its going to be very cold there with rain over 4" , heavy snow up higher in elevation and 60 plus mph winds from the south

I got a good laugh today. The service manager at the truck shop I go to is a good guy. A snowbird brought in his motor home for a service while I was waiting for the totals and paperwork for my dump truck. The conversation turns to our weather and the snowbird asks "how can you stand it here in the summer?" and, without skipping a beat, the service managere pipes in with "you don't have to shovel sunshine!".

Ya, they usually blow through here a bit quicker. Sometimes so fast nothing happens.

 

So, according to this guess, we're going to have 12 hours of wind from 25 mph to 30 mph and back to 25 before the rains start. It's going to be a dusty sumbitch!

Well, Simeon had his surgery today and is the proud owner of ear tubes. it keeps the infections away.

Come here Friday thru Saturday should be very dusty here , we've also have a high wind watch /warning for those days . Will be seeing sustained 25-35mph / gusts to 60-70mph
