    Hey all,

First post, about to take the plung from a Jeep Cherokee that has served me well. Question: I've read on here how to de-badge the Tacoma, but what about those decal-type things the dealer slaps on the for the free advertising? Are those things under the clear-coat?

When I worked at a dealership, we put those stickers on. They are always put on at the dealership so there really is no way for them to be under the clear coat. Usually they could be removed just by pulling them off with your fingernails.
Get yourself some adhesive remover or alcohol based gum remover if there is any left over residue from the sticker. Just be aware that you will probably have to re-wax that area especially if you used any type of cleaner on it afterwords.

There was no sticker on mine when I test drove it. I told them there better not be one on it when I pick it up.
I did let them put a cheesy plastic license plate holder on it though, and it came off as soon as I got it home.
I wont advertise for stealers unless they pay me.:D

Hell yeah, I didn't even let them put the corny pin stripes down the side either! I called it the "linwood mod"
