Back in the summer 2012, over a period of about 3 weeks to a month, I noticed a smell like garbage or rotting food inside the cab of my Tacoma that would come and go. My truck was only 2 years old, had less than 22K miles at the time, and was the vehicle you'd expect to smell bad. At the time of this mystery smell, I was spending a lot of time hanging out with a friend of mine, a guy 2 years older than me who also had Aspergers. He unfortunately DID NOT have a driver's license so a lot of our hangouts were centered around me picking him up at one of his parents' houses (they were divorced) and then driving wherever we planned to go. Basically he spent more time riding in my Tacoma than he should have.

So, anyway, I noticed the smell in like July or August 2012 and immediately searched every inch of the cab. Groceries had fallen under the seat before when I went shopping for my mom, and I had not found them until a week later. Luckily, said groceries were sealed and thus did not get on my carpet or stink up the truck.

My truck was messy and cluttered, and I may have found a candy wrapper and possibly a water bottle or two, but there was certainly no rotting food. That's the difference between being a messy/unorganized truck owner, and a downright disgusting one.

The smell came and went, and for some reason it took me like 2 or 3 weeks to realize that my truck only smelled bad when my friend was riding in it. I thus determined he was the source. My former friend had terrible personal hygiene and foot odor (which amazes me because he slept with more girls over the years than I could count on one hand), and I gave him an ultimatum: Clean yourself up or else you are not riding in MY truck anymore. He went ballistic and acted like I was the asshole. Needless to say, he lost his Tacoma privileges. A couple months later, due to a completely unrelated incident, we permanently cut him from our circle of friends.

It gets better... Another friend of mine who still hangs out with the hygienically challenged guy bought a brand new Volvo XC60 in 2013, and forbade this guy from riding in it because he smelled so bad and flipped shit whenever anybody criticized him for it...

    TRUE STORY!

It's supposed to mean that I'm not getting into politics this evening... and I most likely took your original comment the wrong way because it's over text and we can't have our views shared over a beer... and possibly the fact that my country has become completely numb to our grass roots due to the media spin cycle. Obviously I could continue but I don't think this is my time to get on a soap box... I 100% agree with OP, and i guess I was kind of offended by the alternative facts comment... because we could argue that for hours in my opinion. To many people out there fighting for their own wants. What we need is unity and leadership and I'm embarrassed that the media paints us otherwise.

We have a local TV station/Website that most of the articles read as if written by middle school students. They leave out pertinent facts, leave articles incomplete, and bury the lead on occasion. But only a slight liberal slant.

Back in 2013, my girlfriend farted in my truck, ON THE FIRST DATE. Normally boyfriends and girlfriends are sexually involved before the girl feels comfortable enough to fart in front of the guy. Here I am going out of my way to act like a gentleman by not burping or farting in front of this girl... Then she goes and rips an SBD in my truck with the windows up and the A/C on, on an unseasonably warm April day.

By the way, I also kissed her in my basement on the first date and made out with her IN my Tacoma in a shopping center parking lot on the second date...
