So what have I missed?

Been super busy at work.

Today is Day Without Immigrants....could be interesting. We've heard plenty of threats. Were it slower, the ball would be in our court and we could just say, "don't bother coming back." But, as it is, we're busy AF and are loaded until pretty much 2018. Good problem to have. Our guys get taken care of, for the most part. Most of them making a pretty decent wage. But, anywho...




Father in law was having some problems breathing and swallowing on Friday. Thought it was diabetes related (type 1). Taken to the ER. Unfortunately, it wasn't diabetes. Swelling on the brain...he was found to have a 1" tumor on his frontal lobe. Fast forward to yesterday, he had been transferred to Baylor Dallas. Outlook was grim. Dr said it was more than likely a glioma - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Glioma#Prognosis . FIL wasn't sure what the prognosis was, so he had my wife read it. They all broke down. Surgery took 90mins, which is mind boggling to me. Doctor came back to say that the tumor was not a glioma (good news), but that it did metastasize from somewhere else in his body (not good news, but not awful). FIL and MIL were elated. Wife was still pretty upset, but seeing her parents happy helped a lot. Her dad is already talking about going to church on Sunday. In their eyes, he went from 2yrs left, to potentially many, many more.
