Same here, but then they did the incredibly stupid move of not having a transmission dip stick.

What's your transmission temp typically run? Mine hovers around 195, I've seen as high as 220 towing through mountains on a hot summer day.

 

I have ultra gauge bluetooth and i can see the the trans temp. I have a '13 access cab

Morning y'all! I went to pick the girlfriend up last night and someone stole my spot in our building's parking lot. Only option left was one that hadn't been cleared at all, so I threw it in 4x4 and backed in. My truck was tilted all night long haha

 

This is true. But, since the average human is ridiculously bad at checking the fluid level in an automatic transmission, they probably don't want people checking it anyway.

Mine runs around 190 when I'm just cruising down the road. It ran around 195-200 when I was towing that bass boat this fall. It didn't even move when I towed my tractor on a utility trailer this winter.

 

If you want one to look at constantly, get the UltraGauge MX 1.3 - that one has that feature.

If you want somethting to pull up on your cellie, get the UltraGauge Blue - that has an app you download and install, and pulls up info on your phone.

LOL! That was the first pic I could find, showing the MX... I took it when us CT folk met up last September, and drove up to another TW member's house to get our trucks sprayed with fluid film.

The pic was a lame attempt by myself, to show the "convoy" behind me.

 

What is your mounting setup?

 

This thing comes with a long wire that plugs into your ODBII plug, by the footrest... I removed my A-pillar and ran the wire up/dpown that way, tucked in there. Then, tucked it under the roof liner, across to where the rear view mirror is, pulled a bit of the wire down and mounted it there.

AH. It's basically some 3M tape, that's the type of mount I got. But there are suction cup mounts available as well:

I mounted mine top of the steering column with Velcro dots. Works fine for me

 

I've seen that as well. One of the guys here in CT did the same thing.

Spot-saver!

 

I've debated using a spot saver like many of my neighbors, but it always comes down to the fact that I don't really need a cleared spot anyways. So I don't really mind if someone takes mine as long as there is a free spot somewhere.

 

I certainly don't agree with the use of a spot saver; especially on public roads, simply because someone happen to shovel their car out one day.

 

Agreed. And once I get the lift kit and steel bumper I'll just park on the snow pile at the end of the lot. No need to worry about the flimsy plastic bumper anymore!
