I go back and forth every few years. I love how driving standard can come back to you just like riding a bike. Longest time without a standard was maybe six years.
I just recently went from a DCT M4 back to a 6 Speed Manual M3 and love it.

Why'd you switch to the M3? Missed having the extra doors? I used to own an E46 M3 and I loved that car. Still looking for a clean E39 M5 as my next car.

Sports cars: Not having a stick is a deal breaker.
Utility vehicles like my truck? I prefer auto. After a long day at the motocross track and the possibility that some of my limbs aren't functioning at 100% it's nice to jump in an auto to get back home.

Build thread in sig... 4-link long travel
    Born in '89 (27 yo)
learned to drive a stick in my uncle's 90s era Ford Ranger when I was 16. fast-forward to when I was 26, I bought an 88 Pontiac Fiero, restored it and put some modern parts into it for a year, and now it's my daily driver. still a work in progress. 5 speed Muncie transaxle.

She loves the snow!! Doesn't like ice though...
If I didn't take her out, she'd be locked away for six months plus out of the year.

Yeah, I prefer the look of sedans. My M4 was my first coupe since I was a teen and I regretted not going sedan after awhile.
Plus kids on the way so it was an excuse.

I've never had the pleasure of owning an E46. I love seeing them around. So beautiful still.
I've driven an E39 M5 numerous times and loved it. I think that will be my next fun car.

I've got good 3M covering the danger zones and we don't salt our roads up here. Plus I only take it out during clear or powdery conditions.
Right now though, everything is melting and it's just sludge and gravel showers.

Have you tried teaching your friends or family how to drive stick shift in your car?

It's actually a little scary cause they're stalling your car, not used to pushing brakes and clutch together. I could never make my car rock back n forth like they can. If you know what I'm talking about.
