I wish I had known that part didn't come with the two end caps. So far I've found them online for about $10 each plus shipping and I can't bring myself to buy them.

Thats true, for the 2016/2017 toyota only recognizes the plastic version, they do not make the aluminum one for the tacoma
This does not mean it will not work.
@Swiftks previously mentioned he has already done this mod successfully.

Looks NICE! Did you remove the scoop or plastic dipped with scoop still attached to the hood?

I looked at the same I believe in 18 x 8.5. They were on sale real cheap somewhere last weekend. Looking at 285/60-18 ko2's. I have no lift so looking for +10 offset wheels in 18 x 8.5 for clearance.

They are 2 wings, the factory bumper is a 3 piece design so these would replace the wings.
I just through these together yesterday so I'm still a ways out from production. I would expect the price to be around $400-500 for steel and $600-700 for aluminum. They bolt directly to the frame and factory hitch.
I will be adding recovery point and back up lights as well.
I most likely will color match mine to keep with a factory look.

Bitchen! I'd opt for paint matching as well.

Based on my measurements from center of hub to fender on all four corners, 0.75 inches of lift should get pretty much dead on level ... I guess we will see. Sometime down the road I'm sure I'll end up going with more lift, so I'm sure I will eventually get progressive AAL or Dakars ... probably not for a while though

past two days: 6" BDS suspension lift, 33'' Toyo mud terrains, and 18'' moto metal shift wheels. Brought her home and put in the TRD grille, installed a K&N air intake and put on the Magnaflow cat back exhaust. Ive been busy lol.
