I know I had a hard time getting these. Had to buy from 3 different places. I will probably go with the x3's next because I love the red letters but it's just not the same

If I were to get new 5100 adjustable front struts and coils instead of keeping my blue and yellow trd stock in front, what determines what coils I get
I see you guys both have a different type

Depends on how much more lift you want. If you only want 4" from the spindles you could just reuse your factory coils.
I have the 885's cause I wanted an additional 3" on top of the 4" from the spindles without preloading the factory coils.

I'd say black or gunmetal on the wheels, tire size will depend on amount of lift. If just the 4" from the spindles 285's (basically a 33) will be the largest & you may have to trim a bit. I know guys that haven't needed to though.

What will usually determine if I need to trim? Is it a tire brand thing or is it just a case by case thing where some rub and some don't?

For the guys that installed the parts themselves,,
How good are the installation instructions that come with the parts from Headstrong?

I believe you will definitely rub. I rubbed pretty good on the front of the wheel wells with the stock UCAs and 285/70R17. I had to do the CMC when I got my aftermarket UCAs and no longer rubbed in front. Hope this helps. I didn't rub at all with a standard 3" leveling kit. The wheels kicking out .75" with the spindles are what causes the rubbing.

Oh okay thanks @TacoMaxxxx I wonder if spacers help with that. I would like to not have to do any Cmc work, any way around it?

Spacers would actually make the rubbing worse.

I found them very easy to read. As long as you are somewhat mechanically inclined, you will be fine

Spacers make it worse. Ideally you want a 4.5" maximum backspace and the wheels will kick out .75". I had to use 1.25" spacers on my existing wheels because they had a 5.75" backspace. I'm getting new wheels next week that have the proper fitment. Again, I had no problem with the wheels rubbing the cab mount with the stock UCA. I only had minor rubbing on the front wheel well which can be solved with a heat gun or trimming. If you get aftermarket UCAs then plan on getting the CMC done and also trimming on the rear fender well. I had the CMC done by my local shop after they installed the UCAs.

I have 285/65/18 and no rubbing on the cm. The lower rear part of the fender flair had to be trimmed right at the very bottom.

You don't get instruction from the distributor, Headstrong, you get them from Maxtrac.
