I have an offer right now of 11,500$. It has 176,000 miles and all service records. It is a prerunner tho so no 4x4. What do you guys think?

Being a prerunner, that's a very good offer. I would take it if you're wanting to sell your truck. There is almost always sellers remorse when selling a 1st gen Tacoma. They just don't make them like they used to

Take that money and run, that's a great offer for the mileage especially being a 2wd

Thinking about it, there are a few 1st gen double cab 4x4s with 110-130000 miles for sale right now in my area. Just hate having to get all the lift and everything again

I sold my 01 DC 4x4 with 189k miles for $10,500. So ya you're probably not going to get anymore than that offer for it. Not as many people wanting a prerunner. That offer is good even if it was 4wd

Do you need 4x4? Do you plan to wheel it?

In my area 4x4 is not needed what so ever lol, leave at the beach and cant even drive on it here. The most offroading there is around here are some small trails people find and most the time get caught by the police within 15 mins. I just like having the option of 4x4 as a "what if" type of deal. Was going to 4x4 swap it but no parts are in my area to do it. Posted it online and have had a few 9k offers and got one for 11,5 about an hour ago.

You're in Georgia where they are significantly less expensive than the west coast. These kind of threads are highly dependant on location. I paid $14.5k for my 02 DC 4x4 TRD with 165k. It took a year to find one (and it's stupid clean) and I might have paid $500-750 over what I would have paid via a private party.

Paid $20k for my 4x4 v6 5speed and supercharged with 24k miles on it last year. The SoCal market is highly competitive for low mileage first gens. Got it through a Toyota dealership though, I'm sure privately it probably would have been listed even higher

Imagine if yours was a DC, there'd even be a higher tag on that. 24k in crazy though. Who buys a truck like that and almost doesn't drive it for 12 years.

Some old guy in Arizona, which sort of confuses me even more seeing that it has the TRD s/c on it, lol. I didn't get much backstory since it was traded into a Toyota dealership in San Diego. Being from Arizona though the frame is pristine which is awesome. But yeah a DC would have been a few grand higher I'm sure. I had to have a manual trans though

I wouldn't even think twice. At that price, ditch it. It's a great price

You still haven't told us where you are, or did I miss that?

... and where I come from, 2wd is a car, not a truck. Take the money and run!

I'd much rather buy a 4x4 than convert a Prerunner. I know it's a pretty straightforward conversion but I'd rather the peace of mind of getting a 4x4, not to mention that great offer you were made on your truck.
