Raised Tailgate Inserts-Matte Black $35

I know a few opinions have been posted on these before but I figured I'd ask a question since this thread is new. Does it give more contrast to the rear? As in, I feel the rear looks small and plain compared to the side and front, does this help with that? Do you feel these will last through the years without fading where you will have to dig them out to replace? Thanks

I think they are better than just the sticker/vinyls. How long will they last? I have no idea. I agree, the back end does look a little small and plain/less aggressive than the rest of the truck.
IMO it gives a little more pop. There are some reflective vinyl that look really good that a member makes for a good price.

 

@rrentrop has the thin vinyls any color and even reflective. Highly recommend his products!

I bought the vinyls for mine, I like them, 10 bucks, if they last a few years or more... I am happy.. I could buy 3 sets of the vinyls for the one set of the raised. Up to you...both are pretty sweet.

I like them both. The raised letters give the tailgate a bit of a pop...but the reflective vinyl are great! still debating lol let me know how long the vinyls last and through a good washing.

 

I have hit mine at a road side car wash with a pressure washer, they are pretty decently stuck on the tailgate, I have had them on there for 3 months now and they still look good, either way, it certainly breaks the color up back there, and is a sweet , cheap mod with impact.

I like them, and its a cheap mod, you can order like 3 of them for the price of the raised , when the first set wears out......you know the rest....

Can not wait until it gets nicer here in south western PA to derp that 4x4 emblem black plastidip! Death to chrome! Chrome is for my Harley!

 

These are great. Also very easy to apply. Not set up as individual letters but aligned and spaced on one sheet. They go on straight.

Within a week I will also have matte black (and other colors) inlays for the chrome tailgate letters available to complement the inlays I offer for the door badges.

 

Anyone have a picture of these raised matte black on a black truck yet?
