Anyone have a fix for torque converter slipping?

I have a 2017 DCOF and I love the truck except for one issue. I cannot find the problem that is causing this vibration/jerking feeling. I have had the most recent TSB done and trans fluid checked and filled. Had a regional tech come out to drive it with me, said his tacoma does the same thing and "normal driving characteristic"!!!!. Called corp and have a case open but they are no help. Just took it up to the dealership this week for the 5000 mile service and had a tech ride with me again. From what we both gather is that the torque converter is not catching ( it is trying to decide what gear it wants to be in), hence the jerking feeling. So my question is, where do I go from here? Does anyone know what the fix is or is it a computer programing issue? Has anyone else had the same issue and if so what did your dealership do or tell you? I don't need the typical "get rid of it because it is a piece of crap" response, I would like some experienced feedback if at all possible, thank you.

 

So tech gathered torque converter isn't catching, but he didn't have a solution to the problem ?!

Did you drive another new truck in the lot with the tech to see if other one had it too ?

 

Is the vibration/jerking happening under moderate load at low RPM? Like going up a long gentle hill at about 1500RPM?

I had the same problem.... then I traded it in for a manual.

I have had a 2016 and a 2017 OFLB with no issues, I traded in the LB because I liked the SB better. I know how they drive and this is not a normal characteristic of the vehicle. The techs said they drove the another vehicle before ( I have had it up at the dealership 5 times now) they are not willing to do anything more because they said they have done everything they can do and there is not a fix. I would be willing to fix it myself if I could but if it is a computer programming issue, then I'm screwed.

Tech confirmed there IS a problem but they can't fix it (you better have this in writing)

Ok, well mine does a kind of "fish bite" jerky thing under the conditions I described above, and the only way that I've found to lessen the effect is to use a better grade of gas (ie no ethanol). My truck is a manual trans so it's easily noticed.. oh and it's done it since day one.

tried to post the dealership reports (don't know how to) anyway it said that the regional tech duplicated the problem and used the all too familiar "characteristic of the vehicle" the most recent report said that customer already met with rep and findings are normal characteristic.

 

Well, I am out of guesses, lemon law it if you have to.
