Finally finished my CO2 tank set up tonight. 20lb tank, 100 psi regulator (I think, it came with the tank), Campbell Hausefield inflator. Need to get some different connections to remove some non-essential parts but it works for now so I can't complain.

Now to figure out how to mount it to my Tundras bed.

Funny, right after we were discussing this I got water in my switch. I took it off, shook all the water out and sat it in the sun for a day.
Today I moved my tank to the bed floor with the switch inside the storage box and I'm back in business. Meanwhile I ordered another switch in case the one I have now gives me problems.

 

Hopefully my fittings will get here tomorrow so i can get my tank in and post more pictures. Meanwhile, i built a bracket for my quick disconnect. Didnt have flat stock that i thought was thick enough so i cut up some angle. Mounting holes use two factory holes in the bumper. The bracket is currently drying after i sandblasted and dipped it in my bucket o' bedliner.

 

Alrighty folks. Got everything hooked up and working other than the horns. Waiting on a waterproof 5 lead relay and a new ch4x4 switch to get here to wire it up how I want it.
Viair 444c mounted on a Viair mounting bracket bolted to the back wall.

I cut the pass side storage to allow the leader hose to run between the tray and the seat back without rubbing.

Kind of hard to see because I forgot to take a pic before putting the tray back in. I am using a 1/4" (female) to 3/8" push to connect fitting. The 3/8 air line runs through a rubber body plug below the seat.

Here is the under side. The hose has a double layer of wire loom on it to protect from chaffing. I cut the hole a little too big, so I used silicone to seal it, then aluminum tape top and bottom to fully seal it from water intrusion.

2gal air tank mounted to the bottom front of the bed using 3/8 stainless hardware. 1/2" NPT to 3/8" push to connect fittings on the ends. One is the feed from the compressor, the other goes to the quick disconnect on the back bumper. On the back, I have a 1/4" NPT to 1/4" push to connect 90* fitting that runs to my air horns and a 1/4" NPT 120/150 pressure switch. Top has a 1/4" NPT 200psi pop off valve (ring and part of the pin removed to allow full release movement without hitting the bed. On bottom is a 1/4" NPT cable pull purge valve. Cable will be run to the back driver side (still need to finalize it). I will be getting some heat shield material to go between the exhaust and the air tank.

3/8" air line from the tank runs back to a 3/8" push to connect to 1/4" NPT bulkhead fitting. Attached to that is a "universal" quick disconnect. Mounting plate was dipped in cheapo bedliner (1gal can from Walmart).

1/4" PTC x 1/4" PTC x 1/8" NPT T-fitting. The 1/8" line feeds my pillar mounted pressure gauge. The 1/4" air line going to the front feeds the Kleinn model 220 air horns.

Here is the pillar mounted pod. Trans temp will be hooked up next month when I have the temp sensor bung welded into the tranny pan.

Switch wired in, still waiting for the relay to get here. Switch controls the relay which will switch from 12v horns to air horns. Which ever horn the relay is turned to will activate with the factory horn circuit.

Added a dust cover to the quick disconnect. Picked it up from one of the local logging shops.

 

I would love to mount my pressure gauge there! Where did you get the A pillar gauge pod?

What size tank are you guys running? 1 Gallon?

 

I'm looking to do two 2.5 gallon tanks mounted in the spare tire location

I don't have my spare mounted there anymore so I think I can fit 2

 

When I had an A/C-compressor-driven OBA, I used one 2.5 gallon tank. Worked fine for years.

 

How about just a single 5 gallon tank? Would cost less than buying two smaller tanks.

 

Anyone ever taken a portable ARB compressor, removed it from the case, and mounted it behind the rear seats on a double cab?

 

The 5 gallon tanks have bigger outside diameter and would hang too low to be safe when wheeling

 

You guys have pictures how you mounted the tanks under the bed??
