Lifted '16 Tacomas

I dont wanna cheap out so i have a couple questions if anyone can help me out.
I like the factory rake and i have a cap on the bed at all times.
If i put dakars in the rear with 5100 all around, would ome 888 be too stiff of a ride with no added weight and would i still get the rake or more of a level truck? Or would 887 be a better option?
Also anyone running the taller 34/10.5/17 ko2?

 

Do you put the 1/4 inch driver side spaced in the front or rear?

 

Installed ome 887 and 3 gen bilstiens with aal. Also added 265/70/17 Falken wild peak atw3

Are you set on the very first notch on the 5100s? Did you get any measurments after the lift?

 

Question. My truck's on the lift now getting the Bilstein's installed. I'm thinking of having the shop put some 1.25 wheel spacers on but the tech said my 265/75/16s might rub on the front mud flaps. Curious if anyone has had this issue with wheel spacers and a similar sized tire?

When it's all said and done later this afternoon my truck will have a 1-inch block in the rear, Bilstein's all around set to either the 3rd or 4th notch. I want to go wide on the tires but am curious if a 1.25 will push the tires out too far and rub the flaps.

I have the same tire size and yes my tires did rub with my spidertrax wheel spacers, took them off no more rubbing......

 

Yesterday I had the Bilstein 5100s put on all the way around. The fronts are on the middle setting (#3) I think. I ended up going with a 1 inch block in the back.

On the advice of a good friend, I trust, I opted out of the AAL. Basically I wanted to improve my ride, not make it worse with the leaf. My buddy drives a much bigger truck and actually hauls snowmobiles. He knows I just load snowboards and random gear in my truck. None of those things warrant the AAL.

Anyway, my truck rides fine but it's hard to judge driving over transverse joints on the freeway and city streets...I'm headed up to Baker tomorrow so I'll get a better perspective then.

My tires are 265/75/16. My 1 inch Bora wheel spacer show up next week. I'll take off the mud flaps and put the spacers on. I actually like the SR5 wheels. I rather keep them then go after market and the off-sets.

Your UCAs are reaching for the stars! How is your alignment?

 

Sooooo I'm in the beginning stages of my lift and looking for some guidance. I plan on acquiring all the appropriate necessities before doing the lift/all parts installed comprehensively.
I got these icon billet UCAs for a smoking deal that's why I went this route as opposed a cheaper tubular uniball UCA.
I'm really leaning towards the OME BP51 set up.
I don't "Baja" my truck by any means it's mostly my DD, however when I'm not at work I'm CONSTANTLY in the woods running hunting dogs out of my truck.
What does that even mean??!!
It means the roads typically suck, unmaintained/corrugated/washed out forest service and logging roads. I typically have in excess of 500-600# worth of dogs/dog box/hunting equipment loaded in my truck and as it sits not, stock, she sags pretty low in the ass end fully loaded.
I'm not heart set on any particular lift but I can budget the BP51 or a comparable lift.
Just looking for insight to what would meet my needs overall. Thanks

The 888's are not going to be too stiff under any circumstances. they are taller, not stiffer. 887's are just a tad shorter that's all. the rake will depend on the weight of the cap and your rear lift.

It's dead level - In truth i am hoping the front settles just a tad to give a small amount of rake. As soon as I picked it up I drove it from Atlanta to Orlando and back for work and It rides much nicer than I had anticipated. doesn't lean in turns, bed doesn't chatter over speed bumps and it tracks true at highway speeds. I won't be winning any races out there on the interstates but it holds 80-85mph well. with the larger tires it's just searching for higher RPM's to accelerate and will downshift more to maintain speed on even slight inclines.
