My 50T's were about an inch longer at bump than my 67's. I had main leafs made and inch shorter to compensate.

In case anyone is looking I have a set of mains for the 50T that is 2" shorter.

50T vs F67. F67 is the dirty one. Not sure about the optical illusion but after I put the 50T's on the shackle was hitting the frame at bump.

Ah makes sense...my buddy had to notch the frame to fix the shackle issue after he made the switch...I had to set mine to 53"

So what i'm gathering here is that the H70/E30 is the preferred replacement that still works well in the dirt and with loads? I have some old as F67's with a few leafs missing and my truck sits nice and level but throw anything heavy in the back and its almost on the bumps. I also had to notch my frame for my 9" shackles mounted through the frame.

You won't be able to use the 9" shackle with the 50t /h70.

Hey I have a question that I can't seem to find an answer, to elsewhere.
Can you have long travel without widening the front stance?
I don't plan on ripping around dunes or anything like that, it'll be used as a daily driver and an expedition rig. I want to have the upper and lower control arms with the unit uniball, and to clear 35s (which is a project I know). And I'm sure the longer travel has its uses besides at high speeds.

Is LT even the route I should take?

Anything is possible with the right amount of money. But honestly, LT more than likely isn't for you and definetly isn't worth changing your whole front end including the diff and probably dropping a minimum of 10k. It would be a full custom setup and at the end of the day it sounds like the biggest benefit to you would be extending your wheelbase for a little more tire clearance.

Yeah you're talking about center mount LT at that point and a full custom engine cage

Depending on your generation, you can buy or make stock replacement upper and lower control arms with the uniballs you want. You'll have to trim sheet metal to be able to clear 35's like you want, probably a lot of it.

Long travel generally means a wider front track width, which helps achieve more wheel travel.

I've been thinking, I know bypasses are dominant, but what about in the rear running leaf springs with coilovers?? Could that be a thing with some very well tuned CO's?
