What is your caster set at up front? Your tire looks insanely close to the flare..

Agreed. Caster is at 3, I've done nothing more than get them mounted tonight. Will be trimming and smashing in the near future. I did drive home from the tire shop without rubbing even at full lock, so at least I know I can get to the mall

Awesome! Standing by for the carnage. Think you will have to do the fenders?

Ohh those the 285's? Should have gone 315's ;)

But serious question, how soft is the rubber compound on those st maxx? I just ordered a set for my dads super duty but have a feeling they will be too soft and wear really quickly

I particularly went with these 34s to stay in that skinny relm.

My first set of 255s went 60k+ and still had life and on them..

this is a pretty sweet size for over landing and such. Im curious to see what the verdict for this size is. Remember they are 285/75r17 not 285/70r17. They are solid 34s without having to go so wide which is rad. I want 35 in height but don't want to go 12.5 wide. Wish they made a 35" pizza cutter which this is the closest tire to that.

Dude going from 255/85r16 to 315/75r16 would be nuts lol. 2.5" additional width and 2" in height. This new size is kinda like flirting with 35s.... not committed but almost...just the tip.

I could run these on stock gears and do all the cutting and trimming and BFHing and then next time I'm up for tires just go straight to 37s lol. Get a daily driver and do LT 37s

Its only been 5 hours of darkness but yea. Not scared to trim, once thats done yer done. None of the well now I gotta regear, I might as well put lockers in, I'll need to sell my kidney.. this could work. My only issue with the 255s was being on 17s and not having much sidewall. Now (see image above) check out that bulge :D
