Tax refund day for me tomorrow! hoping for some tire money

 

Problem solved, just turn it on when you need it, warms up pretty quick.
Just replaced the clutch and rear main seal on the rig and it was comfortable.

 

I got my state refund deposited today - that was tiny compared to what I'm getting back from federal. And I got my quarterly bonus deposited today
Paying off the honeymoon with it and the remaining will go towards student loans, unfortunately.

Yeah... thought about that, but I think I would need to do some work in order for that to even be worth getting. I don't think my garage doors seals very well, so would likely have to look into replacing that, and doing some work around that area to seal better, as as well probably get better insulation in there as well.

 

Oh I sure do. So does my stock (except for a slip on exhaust) 2009 883 Sportser that feels neglected. I'm thinking it wants a 1250 conversion kit soon....

 

Most of the time they don't seal worth a damn. You'd laugh if you saw how shitty mine is, @Pugga can vouch for that.

Depending what you have for walls, insulating the place isn't hard though as far as the walls.

 

LOL. Don't think it would be too hard to do the walls... it's just more of a matter of time and will to do it. Been thiking about maybe getting spray foam on the garage ceiling though, since my 3 bedrooms are right above it, in hopes it would keep some of the cold drafts away, especially since I have little ones running around now.

 

Could do that or just regular pink stuff and use rafter baffles, but the foam might be the better coverage for that application.

Walls you could rent the blow-in machine if they're already drywalled, I did the kitchen with that and would recommend it.

 

Yeah, might do something to the walls later on. Really hoping that the spray foam stuff would/will work.

A buddy of mine knows someone who does it, the spray foam stuff, so he came out and measured my garage to see if he could do it on the side, or if he would have to go through his job because of the size.

Just waiting on him to let me know, and how much.

Honestly I don't even know. Haven't messed with it since I bought the house. The sealing has rolls of the pink stuff, that I know.

 

Nah I mean drywall, pegboard, etc

 

I only use it when I work on the truck, it's off at the breaker the rest of the time.
It's also 240 volts so you'd need to hardwire it to the panel with a 30 amp 2 pole breaker.

Luckily my pops is an electrician so he'd be able to do all the wiring and stuff if I ever decided to do it. I currently have forced hot air for the upstairs, hooked up to two 100 gallon propane tanks, so if I ever was to get that type of heater I'd probably look into getting it hooked up to that, if that's even possible since I already have tanks.

 

Looking to rebuild my front brake system - 130k on them and they're due for a full replacement.
What's everyone run for calipers? OEM is almost 220$ each meanwhile I have some on rock auto for significantly less but I'm wary on the components.

I was going to run OEM Rotors and Hawk HPS pads to match up with them (And do the ECGS bushing upgrade while i'm in there)

You could always rebuild the stockers. The consuming but not too bad. There's also vato zone ones. They are OK, benefit is lifetime warranty and you can just pop them in.

OE are by far the best, they dont rust like the vatozone ones do.

I'd get Toyota brake pads and rotors at the least. I found they were basically the same price as vatozone ones from Camelback for my FJ and the wife's 4runner when I did them both this summer
