I got another house I like but it's a little expensive so I'll probably low ball them next week...on market for 190 for almost 100 days

4k streaming is pretty crisp. you can definitely see a difference. i've got a 50mb connection, so it doesn't take too long to buffer to hold the 4k quality. i've only bought 1 4k blu-ray so far, so hard to recall too much of an improvement over the 4k streaming for me.

    run kodi on the firestik.

also, w/ the right smart tv apps, you wouldn't really need the firestik necessarily. mine has Amazon prime, netflix, hulu, etc built in. cant do kodi though.

I'd stay away from Smart TV's if you're wanting a firestick or other streaming device. The Web interfaces that i've seen are kinda clunky and slow. The Firestick/Chromecast/others are snappy and look far better. Also you're not stuck with outdated software and features if the Smart TV manufacturer doesn't want to update. Just buy the latest firestick or whatever they come out with.

Too poor to list anything interesting.
All of this. Even my Blu-Ray player menu is slow. When I switched to the Roku, it's fast and has waaaaaay more options.

I believe SMART TVs like Sony (or could be samsung) can't even get youtube as an app.

We even watch Netflix through the Firestick. It's a nicer interface and more snappy than watching it through the Netflix app programmed into the TV. Amazon needs to update the Prime interface, though, it's not the easiest to navigate.

Yeah. It's a pain. Even if I'm navigating with my phone.
