here is a pic I found on the forum. Looks like the bars on the back just extend out.

Pretty sure that's not the CBI rack. Or at least it's not their Overland rack. The Overland rack mounts on the rails.

That's a custom rack that @Questor had them make. He isn't on much these days, but has an awesome overland build (but no build thread).

Yeah I think that's one of the first runs/prototypes. I need a photo of one that's currently in production. I'm basically looking to see how spread the supports are compared to the short bed. I'm hoping to put a toolbox between the first upright and the next one where the mounting points are.

That's what it is then. I've seen it before but knew they didn't normally make them that way.

I've tried calling but they seem unsure about the measurements and have to keep running back to the shop. I sent CBI a message on here and haven't heard a reply. I love their rack and would really like to purchase it. Just need some answers on dimensions and if the space stated isn't wide enough if they can move the center uprights over to accommodate. From the picture above it looks like if you slid over the center mounting area it would work great.

Man what a pain. The kind of thing that would take you two seconds to measure if you had one in front of you. I've been in those situations. Good luck with that. Good looking racks for sure.

I ordered it with the tool mounts, and the brackets in the corners.
