All Pro is a great company but you can't compare the long travel kits. If your really going to beat on your truck as a pre runner I would go with Total Chaos, Camburg, or Engage. The All Pro long travel kit is a great multi purpose kit but if your going for a full prerunner style build I would use a purpose built long travel kit not a multi purpose kit. The real pluses for All Pro is that your not as wide so fiberglass fenders aren't as necessary. There is no way you can run a Total Chaos kit w/o fiberglass fenders. All Pro also just came out with fenders in partnership with glassworks to match their kit.

It really comes down to what you want your truck to be able to do.

    Off the soapbox now:)

Ya, I want my truck to be able to do everything which is why I ultimatly want All Pro, BUT seeing trucks like yours makes me want to go all out.

Did you get his tires? I bought his tiregate.

Shon finally worked out a shipping plan but I have been truckless since I sold my wheels which sucks a lot. I thought the plan would work but it didnt. He just didnt have a lot of experience with shipping so it took too long to get everything together in my opinion. Nice guy but not as organized as I felt he should be.

Somebody local will get a good deal on that Robby G/Baja MTZ tire/rim combo if they have cash in hand.

I am throwing on five 16" Teflon Chambers and calling it a day. No 17" wheels as planned for me this go around.:( Oh well.

I also just picked up a supercharger yesterday. I need to decide if I want it on my truck or if I will sell it later.

After going to 35s I realized that my truck could use some help in the braking dept. I looked around and got some good advice from mjp2. He told me to contact Edwin at Raceshopper.com for some SP slotted rotors and Hawk brake pads.

    Thanks for the guidance Mike:)

Here they are installed. I need to finish breaking them in before I really lock them up and see what they can do.:D

I really need to paint my calipers red or something gaudy. Maybe over spring break. When I shaved them to fit the Pro Comp wheels I never painted over them and I think they look kind of crappy.

    Bumpstops:

After damaging the bump stops during a trip last month I have begun to slowly fix the damage.

The damaged bump stop just got rebuilt by Sonny at Downsouth Motorsports. Great work as always by those guys.

A few weeks ago I worked at the shop and between me and Cam at Krawltex we cut off all the old bump mounting points and cleaned everything up so we can re-install everything nice and clean.

Now all we need to do is find the time to knock out version 2 of my bump stops. We will be mounting the bump stops with less of an angle and also make the strike pads larger on the axle.

Here are some before and after pics.

This is the damage at Padre. Team work allowed me to finish the run that day. That and Texasislandboy's dremel.:D

Here is what the original bump stop design looked like.

Here is everything all cleaned up and ready for bump stop 2.0

Yeah I met the owner of that FJ when I was working on those bumps a few weeks ago. That truck is sick. He has the +2" Total Chaos kit going on soon with King coil overs and he also has an Inchworm lefty t-case going in. He might even have a TRD supercharger going on as well that he will pick up for a good deal from someone on this thread.

He has an awesome LED light bar on the front of his bumper. The truck is full tilt in every way you can think of. TRD brake kit, 35" Toyos etc, re-geared to 4.88s etc.

I decided that I would rather spend the money to re gear my truck than throw down on a supercharger and deal with all the added expense that comes with it.

Dont forget that the Total Chaos arms will be powder coated red as well.

He hasnt gotten to wheel it much but I think that we can help remedy that. He is a cool guy and I think that he would be open to getting it out and thrashing it a bit.

I have a lot of trips that I want to go on and the biggest thing stopping me is time / wheeling buddies that want to do similar runs.

I want to hit up Big Bend, South Padre this time, and maybe take a trip out to Las Vegas and run the fire roads in my old stomping ground. Maybe head to Barstow, and play a bit. Baja in a few years..........

The slowest truck often beats the faster trucks who break more often.:D

Lets see this 4 runner you speak of.
