She said Dawn really loved horses and and wanted to be able to run and be a ranch dog.

We gave her to a family with 50 acres of vineyard and horses. Happily ever after.

Ditto on the Corolla for a second vehicle. I've had 3, starting with the SR5 liftback in the 80's (it even had an oil temp gauge that actually worked ! ). No issues with that one. Then an '88 sedan that was great.

I now have an '01 LE. Plain, functional, great on gas, hard to find in a busy parking lot :D, etc.
It so boringly reliable that I've even done a few minor mods just to give it some attention (upgraded horn, backup camera, LED dome light, Ultraguage)

I had a 99 in college and like you said it was as plain as could be but worked. Luckily I had the 5 speed to it was moderately fun revving those 108 hp...haha. Thought about getting one to drive to work in but I'm only 12 miles away from work and insurance would cost more than the gas offset.

Awesome! She told us that our cat wanted a friend so we got another and they just sit around and from each other all day. Was her name Niki?

Probably the most anti-climactic 9 pages I've ever caught up on..

And I woke up with the cold everyone is getting. Good thing I don't have to be at work.

Worth noting, Dawn used to dig under our fence and go hang out with the horses in the field behind our house - like every day. She loved it, loved the horses. Our backyard wasn't small but the typical new construction (back then) track house in a subdivision, so wasn't huge either. She dug out so many times, we ended up trenching out the fence line 12" wide and 24" deep and filling it with concrete. Then she couldn't get out or didn't care to dig deep enough to anyway.. and she became miserable.

Anyway, I remember thinking "dog psychic, what the fuck?" and of course when she came, she was told the story about the horses. My brain tells me just like "real" psychics, she takes a small piece of story and expands on it in obvious ways and then the listener gets mesmerized.. but, that depends on the listener and their level of belief.

I'm a little more grounded on that kind of thing, so at the end of the day, I think we knew what we already knew and had someone outside confirm it, they got a paycheck, and the dog found a new home with a great family with plenty of running space and horse friends. In the small picture, I don't believe in any of that stuff. In the bigger picture, everybody involved had a win and was happier than before. Can't ask for much more than that.

Just gonna throw this out there. If anyone needs someone to sit a listen to their pets, I am willing, for say half the cost of what the others charge.
