Alignment in San Diego

I'll be installing my lift this Saturday morning and I'd like to take my truck to get aligned at a place where you guys have had success. I'll feel way more comfortable knowing i'm getting it aligned at a shop where other Tacoma's with similar lifts have had a proper alignment.

Take your truck to the Truck Shop , James runs the place and he will take good care of you...He's on Miramar Rd.

(I have 885's with the OME Nitrocharger 2000 shocks & 13mm lift enhancer)

 

For service in east county, I highly recommend Roger Daniels in Santee.

I had my lift and alignment done at The Truck Shop. I have had no problems at all. James knows how to work on lifted trucks. He has solved the problem for a few people here on TW that no one else could find. His prices are very competitive as well.

 

The best place is East County Alignment http://www.eastcountyalignment.com/ They can do any type of alignment, even tractor trailers. My truck had frame damage and they took care of it, no problem. How many alignment shops do you know who can do frame work? While I was there one customer came down from L.A. I asked him "why drive so far?" he said "these guys are the best and they charge a fair price". Very happy with what they did for me, I'll be back when I get new tires. Here's the address:

I just installed new wheels but used the stock tires. Do I need an alignment? After the wheel install, I noticed that the steering wheel is no longer centered. What went wrong? Also, can you guys post up prices you paid?

 

Any shops in town offer a Lifetime Alignment?

 

Any Firestone will offer a lifetime alignment for about $150-160. You can go as many times as you want in a year as long as you arent going every day or week. Vans Alignment in Chula Vista does it too but the catch is if they find any issues dealing with alignment, they have to fix it or it voids the lifetime contract. Trueline has been known to offer lifetime as well but you gotta call to make sure.

 

So the Firestone lifetime is only for a year?

 

No, Firestone is lifetime as long as you own the vehicle. Bad choice of words i guess. If you sign up for their credit card, you get 15-20% off the cost. So it should come out pretty cheap. They will also align it to whatever specs you want. But they arent specialists in offroad alignments like the other shops listed in the thread

 

Cool, I called them and they told me with my lift 1.75 they would not have any issues getting me straight. He mentioned its tough for them for 3"+ lifts.

Thinking I'm going to go this route, the last time I went out to the trails my alignment didn't feel the same so I don't want to pay the $60 each time I want it aligned.

Well i'm installing the lift at a co-workers place in rancho bernardo & I live in Chula vista so any place from Central North SD to South SD would be ideal. I might try that truck shop off of Miramar Rd. How much have you guys paid for an alignment there?

 

I'm not sure what James would charge for alignment, hell I've never even been to his shop or met him, but I can say that I've talked to many members here in the forum & they all have nothing but good things to say about him,his operation,& his prices, & from the work I've seen done on other trucks I can say he knows his shit real clean & professional no hack jobs.........

I just got off the phone with them and Yup, $59.99 it is. Sweet!

 

$160 for a lifetime seems much better than paying $60 every few months......

Going offroad just 2 times threw off my alignment and I plan on going out more with my new tires.

I just got my alignment done at The Truck Shop today after work but I have a question.

I don't know how long it's supposed to take for an alignment but my truck was in and out in about 40 minutes. My concern was that when I asked for a print out of the alignment specs, they said that they don't use an electronic machine to align it so they don't have any numbers... How can I be sure they did the alignment and it was done correctly? How in the world do I know what specs they left it at?
