Hmm, how does the rail car de-coupling, re-coupling work...

It doesn't. One end of each car has a rotary coupler. The car's rotation is centered around the coupler.

It's important to get the rotary coupler on the correct end. Otherwise, shit happens.

    Cool.

When I worked at Pioneer Landscaping materials. We would get batches of mulch on semi's and place the trailer on this giant hyd ramp. It would lift the whole front end of the trailer and poor out all the mulch out the back. Pretty cool to see.

Some times if it isn't loaded right and the mulch is packed to much in the rear it would create a sucktion and collapse the roof of the trailer.

Too much BS in the other thread...

I should have turned this into my new workbench build thread, but I just finished my workbench.

The Flikr page isn't opening up for me... are those 2x4s stacked and glued? Same with the braces?

Did you plane and join the boards on top?

    Looks beefy and well made.

Top is a glue up of 2x6s. It's a mediocre job at best, but shouldn't detract from the usefulness or strength.

I hand planed the top after it was all mounted, no jointing. Just ran each 2x6 through Leo's table saw to square the ends, came out to just under 5" width per board. It's 5.5 boards deep, and 2 board thick. Alternated joints for strength. Supports are the same.
