The cover is designed to go over that plastic,, not under it. And the latch, will still close.

5-6? years back, there were some kits, that were being sewn in Malaysia, and China.. But clazzio built a HUGE new warehouse in Japan, and now every single kit comes from there, and more and more are being sewn in the California Factory.

The boxes they order STILL say china on them.. I'll talk to the owner and see if they can change that..

Yea I wondered about that. Frankly wherever they are made is irrelevant. They are great covers. The only thing better, for the money, would be factory leather.

Right?? That's what's cool though.. Clazzio can give you SUCH a great factory look for SO little money compared to paying for the factory leather. For me it's like a no brainer.. I beat the trash out of my covers.. worst case, in a few years.. buy another set? or replace any damaged parts? and my factory seats are still perfect ;) Love it!

I am ashamed to say I spent $500 for CoverKing covers for my wifes new Escape 2 weeks before I ordered Clazzio for my new truck. No comparison on fit and material quality. Eventually I will bite the bullet and put Clazzio in her Escape. Mine look new after 11.5 months. Hers have lost 3 or 4 straps and are loose as a goose. She still cannot believe the difference in quality for virtually the same price.

I took my passenger seat out to try that and couldnt get any leverage. It was easier with seat still in the truck.

Yes. Pain in the ass. It was warm on the day i started install and got pissed off cause i couldnt get that cover on right. It got cold the next day and stayed that way for a while so it was pulling and tugging every couple days for two weeks before i ever got it to fit right. Fits perfect now but it was a bitch!

Wow, mine are super tight. There was a couple shipping wrinkles but yours look loose. Especially the head rest are super smooth. Did you heat them or something before install?

Well, lets say i may or may not have had 4 or 5 IPAs during the install....so that could've had something to do with it. :rofl:But after i got them on a was even more impressed than I thought I'd be. Ive had them on since November and still look and admire them everyday.
