you must have gotten one of the tacomas that is getting the good gas mileage. iwas looking at thread on the 3rd gen forum and mpg's were all over the place. I'm at 18-19 mostly city. hopefully ill take a hit like you and not like @LadyRed

 

I'm getting between 16 & 17 in the city and between 18 & 20 on the highway depending on how much of an asshole I drive like.

 

My v8 work truck with 4,000lbs of tools in it gets better gas mileage than my Tacoma.

 

I also drive 80miles every day so that doesn't help. But getting the TSB as we speak so let's see if t helps.

Did you just complain about you're trans and they did it or did they keep your truck to "recreate" the problem?

 

I just had to complain and it looks like they're doing it. But I can't be certain, I've been sitting at the dealership since 3 and I'm still waiting.

 

Ridiculous.

 

I can't imagine it taking so long since everything is computerized, right?

 

If this hasn't been said, didn't finish the thread, shopping from ecgs isn't bad, then it's just swap the thirds.

 

They just want you to get fed up and leave so they don't have to do anything.

 

showed my wife the fox lifts on @HeadStrong Off-Road . showed the stage 4 which was $4000. I said that's not to bad and she just said uh huh. then showed the stage 2 and told her that's the one ill probably get. she asked, "well, unlike your wheel purchase, hopefully you're going to talk to me before you buy it right?" Um...sure?...we'll see?

 

I fill up once a day, sometimes 2...but I do love the E-rated tires. Pretty sure I will go right back with KO2s in 285x75x16 or bigger. I figure if I'm worried about 1-2 mpg then I shouldn't be spending thousands on mods.
