I've checked them both out and like the CVT better. I'm going to get the Shasta extended summit.

If you enter Tnation as a promo code there is a 15% discount with CVT. And if you have time drive up to Bend and pick it up yourself that way you can go check out the 5 billion breweries they have.

I have the shasta extended summit. Love it! The summit series is heavy but well worth it IMO if you plan on any rainy/snowy camping days. Bend and the surrounding lakes/forests/trails make the drive worth it if you have the time.

I drove from Pasadena back to Santa Rosa yesterday because my flight got canceled out of LAX due to that storm. The only bad part was the 210 and the Grapevine. After that the roads/weather were fine. This was also all in a piece of shit Hyundai Veloster rental....

Those Velosters are fuckin' sweet man. I don't know what you're talking about

Never would I ever drive a Veloster
    Unless I had to.

My girlfriend drives a Ford focus so...I do too. Sad face.

Haha, it's what work got me as a rental so I had no choice... that thing was such a POS.

I had the option to drive down and back and get reimbursed, after driving back yesterday in that thing I wish I would have. That thing sat so low that even a normal sedan behind me would blind me in the mirrors with its headlights.

That storm canceled my flight I had for 8:50pm and the earliest I was going to get out was 5pm today. Plus I got OT for the 9 hours it took me to drive back!

Check out Drake Park if you've got the kiddos, 900 Wall and Zydeco for dinner, Chow for breakfast (you'll never have a better breakfast so be careful) crux and deschutes for the suds

Idk if you've been before but I loved it can't wait to go back, the downtown area reminds me so much of Petalumas. Think cobblestone and good restaurants.

Hell yes. Im writing all this shit down now. Robin's been on a mean Bloody Mary kick right now, that picture is going to send her into a frenzy...

We've never been. We've got 10 days in May, gonna tow the trailer up. Plan is to hang mostly in and around the Bend area, do as much fun and outdoorsy stuff as is possible with two ankle biters. Hopefully a little wheeling perhaps? Still haven't towed the TT with my truck yet, but either way the t4r is reasonably capable.

Don't mean to clutter/take over the thread, feel free to PM or post away, but we're seeking input on everything from camping spots to wheeling trails, to breakfast joints and Bars.

The High Desert Museum was pretty sweet its right outside of Bend, the kids would like it. There's also a ton of bakeries there, you have to find an "ocean roll" it's this crazy cardimum pastry, so good.
