Thanks...my fist choice was the matte gunmetal but they were out of stock so I went with these. Probably worked out better withe the lunar mist.

Wow, that sounds like a hell of deal. Seems like a lot of head aches thou, if you have to order a different "Y" pipe and all. But looks great and good luck with.

    Need some help gentlemen.

Just finished up installing new ball joints. Trying to button everything up. All I have left is the driver side tie rod. I am unable to tighten the castle nut onto the tie rod end because the "bolt" on the tie rod spins.

Does that make sense? Is that normal? I didn't have that issue on the pass side.

    Thanks for any input.

Clean both mating surfaces and push them together hard. It shouldn't be an issue....

Already tried that to no avail. Would there be any risk in putting some light/moderate upward pressure on the under the tie rod with a jack?

Edit: little bit of pressure with a jack did the trick. Ball joints complete. Peace of mind achieved.

Seems like the ball joint type part of the tie rod end itself is spinning. I ran into the same issue. See if you can hold the non-threaded part of the stud with something like this.

The angled part may or may not be necessary. You might be able to do it with a regular needle nose. But I like the approach the angled nose gives. Either way, you wanna hold the stud free so it does not spin and then tighten down the castle nut with a ratchet.

Ah seems your issue was more easily solved than mine. Glad to hear it!

By that time, you'll be retirement age. And with how well Tacomas hold their value, and the future bonus of classic status, you can sell your truck as a retirement fund.

Got some 4600's on, new springs, top hats, and an alignment. Did a tune-up with an ignition coil, as well as a 3-step fuel system treatment and parts clean.

    She's well taken care of!

Actually haven't seen anyone get foxs in a while. Kings were taking over for a bit.

@Blackdawg Nice weather today, so I took the door panel off and sprayed some fluid film in there. It's so nice to actually have a good feel to the handle when it unlatches. And I don't have to pull the door anymore. It's like the passenger side now. Well worth doing!

Is this going be an issue? I noticed this foam stuff on the ground after I put it back together. Must have fallen out when I went to reassemble.
    0218171436.jpg

And now I have this. Seems the door panel is now rubbing ever so slightly against the rubber weather stripping or w/e it's called right when the door opens. Might have to turn the volume up some to hear it. Hopefully it goes away or I can do something about it. But it's minor. The nice door handle well outweighs that.

Nice! Glad it worked out. Foam isn't an issue. I'd recommend adding sound deadening material at some point. Not sure about the odd rubbing.

carrier bearing. got rid of the vibrations at highway speeds, but now I'm getting a much subtler vibration, not much, only around 30 mph. Any Ideas? My tranny mount has a bit of play in it.
