Does my Tacoma need this?

This thread has me thinking:

 

UN-like bro..... I'm still thinking about our trip to Colorado...

 

I couldn't. He was doing everything he could to save money so he can visit her 6hrs away while she is in grad school.

Maybe grad school not far enough...Daughter's boyfriends... meh.. I had a problem with everyone of them. One I even had the police arrest hahaha mofo .... he went to jail cause no one would bail him out. That was a funny .... He was as useless as a chinstrap on a Tacoma... just sayin..

 

Lucky for me I would be proud to call him my son in law and probably will in another 2 yrs

 

Then all the driving was worth it

 

True that.. wonder how much MPG he got with the chin strap??

 

I wouldn't ask that question in front of future father in law

 

I mentioned earlier it didn't help. Good thing he only paid life 70 bucks for his double chin.

I'm looking for to Colorado in the spring. I'm going to lay out some roads to hit while there

 

Maybe someone can head down to their local Toyota lot and look at a TRD Sport(chin spoiler) and the TRD off road(non chin spoiler) and check the fuel rating for each vehicle. That should answer the question.

 

Took mine off, zero difference in MPG or wind noise. In lab tests I'm sure it is more efficient to have it on.

But in the real world of hills, wind direction, air temperature, weather, road quality, drafting, unexpected braking etc., it all comes down to preference...

Noticed minor drop in MPG (about 15 miles a tank) and sketchier straight line tracking on the highway when I took off.

Im considering putting back on after I lift. We'll see... or maybe even trimming... compromise

 

Now we're talkin... this is going to be fun....
