Haha. Thanks for that perspective. I'm super excited to get my new suspension this Friday but feel like I'm in some denial about the new profile coming to my truck. Lifts make a statement on the road. Not sure if I'm ready for all that. LOL!

 

Perfect! I like them like that too. Thanks for helping me decide! FYI i got the new software update when i went in for 5k service. Tranny shifts MUCH better. Seems my mpgs have gone up too. No more slip. Again, great looking setup! I would break my neck staring if you passed me on the road! haha

 

Nice, what suspension are you getting?

 

@thetacorocker 5100s all the way around and a 1 inch block in the rear. Was going to do a AAL but on the strong advice of someone I trust, they said ditch the AAL and go with a block.

 

Very interested to see these builds by people who appear to have their lives together haha. I'm pulling the trigger on a set of 285/70r17 KO2's and 17x8.5 -6 offset wheels. My research has me believing that I need at least 2.5" of lift to not rub on this set up, but I'd much rather hear from someone living it! Stay classy and love that little Z!

 

Nice set up, Toytec Boss lift is nice, I have seen them on Fj's and hold up and perform very well.

 

Well after further review I ordered up black emblems. I want that big Tacoma emblem on the side to be black on the white truck. I'll post up pics. Never happy

 

Thanks, ..and ya I caught a deal on the Z3, it's a 97 with only 24k miles, crazy. Every now and then you catch a break and find a gem. Hope all goes well with your build.

 

That's insane! If I can get a hold of a 3 pedal M3 in Laguna Seca my euro collection will be complete. Any pointers on maximizing your tire clearance other than the obvious?

 

Nope, all I can say is that my set up works. Anything else I add would be mere speculation unfortunately. I used the tire size calculator to make comparisons. My tire selection while being a 285 really isn't too far from stock, but with the offset and being a bit wider looks worlds different.

What did the dealer charge to install? Can you run an AAL with this?

 

Sharp looking truck. You said you had no rubbing? Really like the simplicity!

 

$580 total with alignment. Toytec's kit has a add a leaf option instead for no extra charge.

 

Any noticeable change to your mpg's or ride?

 

Honestly I wouldn't know. They rolled it off the delivery truck and they did what I wanted to the truck. I have owned a lot of trucks and it rides really nice. My passengers have commented that the ride is good. mpg no clue, I'm expecting it to settle in at 15-18 average depending on the time of the year.
