:bored: I got to "sleep in" about 30 minutes this morning before the old lady in me said "It's 6'o clock you need to get up so you don't waste the day!"
 We sat outside around the fire pit for several hours with friends bs'ing and drinking last night. When we came back inside as everyone left we got a phone call asking us of we were okay because there was a shelter in place in effect due to an overturned tanker truck a few miles down the road. We had no clue.

You mean the scared, surprised looks from everyone, pointing and saying "isn't that a Fenwick??"

...or the sudden chill, as the icebergs from hell freezing over float by?

My wife's cousin, who Sandy is extremely close with, has the same condition. She snapped her ankle a few months ago just stepping out of a car. Then the bone wouldn't heal. Her doctor said the bone was "dead" where it had broken. They had to do surgery and graft a new (artificial) bone in place, a bunch of screws and plates....She's one of those people who just won't acknowledge pain. And she was in agony.

This is why I've had a new car every year almost. Currently on 2yrs with the V and almost a year with the Runner and I've got the itch badly. I love both of them though so I don't see me upgrading either one just yet.

I used to be a "new car every year" kind of buyer. Maybe 2 years if I really liked it. Last truck before the current Tacoma was here 11 years. This one will probably be around almost as long if it does OK. Just don't feel the need to spend a ton of $$$$$ on a new vehicle any longer.

At some point everyone figures out how much they lose switching out every couple of years. It adds up quick.

When I was single, had my first house paid off, and no other responsibilities, it didn't matter much. Then I got married, got older, bought a new house, and started wondering where all my money was going....

Now it's drive 'em 'til they drop!

Not traumatic, just a major buzz kill, as are children 70% of the time, which is why I won't be having any. I had been drinking all afternoon and had ordered a pizza... I didn't wanna pull a shit string from a dog's ass

Morning brochachos and brosephinas. Today is the day. The Tacoma finds a home in the garage. I planned it all out and rearranged the whole damn garage. Wife is helping me mount the new kayak holders up. Then just gotta mount up the ole tennis ball trick so I don't drive through the back wall and I'm good to go.
